Immersive Learning in Nature: Standards 3 to 5 Visit Wetland Studios Putrajaya

On September 25, 2026, students from Standards 3 to 5, accompanied by their teachers, embarked on an inspiring educational field trip to Wetland Studios Putrajaya, Malaysia. The outing was organised to provide students with an engaging learning experience beyond the traditional classroom setting, allowing them to explore the fascinating world of wetlands, biodiversity, wildlife, and environmental conservation through interactive and immersive exhibits. By combining hands-on exploration with visual learning, the visit encouraged curiosity, sharp observation skills, environmental awareness, and a responsible attitude towards protecting nature.

Throughout the day, students enthusiastically journeyed through the various interactive displays and themed zones offered at Wetland Studios. The displays brought the natural world and its wildlife to life in a visually captivating manner, enabling students to discover fascinating ecological facts, share insights with their peers, and participate actively in every experience. This blend of learning, exploration, and enjoyment made the field trip a truly memorable experience outside the classroom.

The event strongly supported several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG Goal 4 (Quality Education), SDG Goal 13 (Climate Action), SDG Goal 14 (Life Below Water), and SDG Goal 15 (Life on Land). Furthermore, the trip aligned seamlessly with key school values under the 9 Gems framework, specifically Academic Excellence, Innovation and Creativity, Universal Values and Ethics, Community and Care, and Skill Development; reinforcing holistic learning and environmental stewardship.
